SMS Notifications

Dunamis Worship Chapel International (“Dunamis,” “the Church,” “we”) offers an opt-in SMS program for members and friends of the Church. This page describes what messages we send, how often, how to consent, how to stop, and how your information is protected.

The SMS program is part of our broader Platform. By opting in, you agree to receive automated text messages from Dunamis to the mobile number you provide. You may opt out at any time, and opting out of SMS does not affect your membership, your access to the Platform, or your ability to receive non-SMS communications from us.

We send the following kinds of text messages, all related to your involvement with Dunamis:

• Service and event reminders. Reminders for Sunday services, midweek services, baptisms, baby dedications, weddings, prayer meetings, and ministry-team gatherings you have registered for.
• Pastoral check-ins. Personal messages from a member of our pastoral team in response to a prayer request, a follow-up after a pastoral-care session, or a routine wellness check.
• Confirmations and receipts. Confirmation of a sign-up, an RSVP, a booking, a tithe / offering, or another Platform action you took.
• Occasional ministry announcements. Time-sensitive updates the broader congregation needs to hear about (for example, a service moved or cancelled because of weather, an emergency prayer call).

We do not use this SMS program for marketing, fundraising solicitations unrelated to your prior giving, or third-party promotions. We do not sell or share your phone number with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

Message frequency varies. A typical Dunamis member receives approximately one to four text messages per month, with occasional bursts of two to three messages in a single week around major services or events. Pastoral-care recipients may receive additional one-to-one messages from a member of our pastoral team during an active care episode.

You can review your full SMS history at any time on the Dashboard → Settings page once you are signed in.

Consent to receive SMS from Dunamis is freely given and never required to join the Church or use the Platform. You can opt in any of three ways:

• At sign-up. When you create an account at /auth/sign-up, tick the “Text me service reminders, events, & check-ins” checkbox and provide a mobile number.
• From your dashboard. If you already have an account, sign in and visit Dashboard → Settings, where you can toggle SMS on or off.
• By text reply. If you previously asked to stop messages and want to start again, reply START or YES to any prior message from our number, or contact us using the details in Section 7.

After you opt in, we send a one-time confirmation SMS to verify ownership of the number. Reply YES to that confirmation to complete opt-in.

You can opt out of the SMS program at any time. The fastest way is to reply to any message you have received from our number with one of these keywords:

• STOP — immediately stops all SMS messages to your number. We will send a single confirmation message acknowledging the stop request, then no further messages.
• HELP — replies with a short message describing the program and how to reach the Church for support.
• YES or START — opts back in after a prior STOP. We will send a confirmation acknowledging the re-subscribe.

You can also stop messages by signing in and toggling SMS off at Dashboard → Settings, or by contacting us using the details in Section 7.

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for the SMS and MMS messages we send and the messages you send in reply, according to your wireless plan. Dunamis does not charge a fee for participating in the SMS program; any carrier charges are between you and your carrier.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The SMS program is supported on most U.S. carriers, but availability is not guaranteed in every region or on every plan.

Your phone number, the messages you exchange with us, and your consent state are personal information governed by our Privacy Policy. We retain SMS messages for the duration of your relationship with the Church plus a short audit-retention window thereafter, after which they are deleted.
